Every Sunday at 8:00 AM IST, Vertex publishes a curated digest of the most important legal news from the past week. Articles are sourced from leading Indian legal publications, processed with AI for relevance and categorization, and delivered straight to you.
The Weekly News Digest is available to all Vertex users — no subscription or setup required.
How It Works
- Source collection — Vertex pulls the latest legal articles from 20+ Indian legal news sources including LiveLaw, Bar and Bench, SCC Online, Indian Kanoon, Legal Bites, and major national outlets.
- AI processing — Each article is analyzed for relevance, categorized by court or topic, and scored on a 0–100 scale based on legal significance.
- Edition published — A structured edition is published with a hero summary, top highlights, executive summary, and the full set of categorized articles.
- Notification — Users are notified via Push and WhatsApp with the top 3 highlights and a link to the full edition.
What's in Each Edition
Every weekly edition includes:

Categories
Articles are organized into six categories, prioritized by significance:

Relevance Scoring
Each article receives a relevance score that determines its display priority:

| 30–49 | General legal updates |
| 0–29 | Minor updates |
Notifications
When a new edition is published, you receive notifications on two channels:
- Push notification — Title and a link to the full edition
- WhatsApp — The top 3 highlights with article count and a button to read the full digest
WhatsApp digest notifications count toward your plan's WhatsApp notification limit. Free plans include 5 WhatsApp notifications per month.
Accessing the Digest
You can read the latest and past editions at any time:
- On the web — Browse all editions at vertex.legal/news/weekly
- In the app — Navigate to the Weekly News section from the home page or the news tab
- Via notification — Tap the push notification or the WhatsApp button to open the edition directly

Articles are deduplicated automatically — if the same story appears in multiple sources, the most relevant version is kept.
