Search, import, and auto-sync cases from Indian district courts via e-Court.

Vertex connects to the Indian e-Courts system, covering District Courts across all Indian states. Search for cases, import them in bulk, and keep your case data up to date automatically.

Searching for Cases

Navigate to Court Portals → e-Court → Search. Two search methods are available:

CNR Search

Enter the 16-character Case Number Record (CNR) directly. This is the most precise way to find a case.

Case Number Search

Search by selecting the state, district, court complex, case type, year, and case number. This is useful when you don't have the CNR but know the case details.

Once found, you'll see the full case data including parties, court details, hearing dates, and status. From here you can save the case to your organization.

Bulk Import

For importing many cases at once:

Go to Court Portals → e-Court → Import
Upload your case list — Vertex extracts all CNR numbers automatically
Optionally check "Auto Assign Cases To Me" to be assigned to all imported cases

On free plans, auto-assignment is always enabled for imported cases.

Each CNR is processed independently. If some cases fail to import, the rest still proceed. You can track the status of each import in your import history.

Auto-Sync

Cases saved from e-Court have auto-sync enabled by default. Vertex periodically checks for updates from the court portal and syncs changes to your case automatically — including hearing dates, case status, party information, orders, and more.

Auto-sync can be disabled for individual cases. Manually created cases have auto-sync disabled by default.

Case Data

For any case linked to e-Court, a dedicated e-Court Data tab displays all information from the portal — including parties, hearing history, acts & sections, IA status, FIR details, final orders, and case transfers.

Notifications

When cases sync, Vertex notifies you about important changes:

New hearing scheduled — via email, in-app, and push notifications
Case disposed — via email, in-app, and push notifications
Hearing reminders — sent 3 days and 1 day before a hearing
Import completed — notified when a bulk import finishes
